Prelims are looming. I’ve submitted drafts of my reading list to major and minor professors, and I’m beginning to chart out how my reading will proceed. If I plan to take prelims in late fall, I need to be pretty exacting with my timeline. So I’ve chosen a tool called Tom’s Planner, an online Gantt chart generator, to help. It’s free for one project, so for now, it seems like a good solution. Here’s an example of a Gantt chart:

I hope to complete the plan in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, I’ll get cracking on the first reading: Gloria Anzaldua’s Borderlands/New Frontera: The New Mestiza.
