Lennon “Lenny” Luckadoo studies Natural Resources and Ecosystems management at the University of Alabama and plans to dedicate his life’s work to environmentalism. He has spent his time at UA gaining experience needed to enter a variety naturalist career paths. In 2016, Lenny completed training through a UA program to obtain a Type II Firefighter Red Card, which is the certification needed to work for the US Forest Service fighting wild fires. His recent work experience at the UA Arboretum and Snow’s Bend Organic Farm have offered an opportunity to learn about and experience work in grounds keeping, landscaping, and mid-scale organic agriculture. Lenny’s classes at UA have ranged from Ecology to Geographic Information Systems to Landscape design.
In his free time, Lenny likes to take road trips on his motorcycle and play video games. After graduation at UA, he wants to move to the west coast to do urban agriculture for a few years before joining the Peace Corps.
